Another Technical Lecture Program organized at
Shah & Anchor kutchi Polytechnic, Mumbai on 19-09-2014
A third and concluding lecture program of three day lecture series was
successfully organized at Shah & Anchor kutchi Polytechnic, Mumbai on “Need of
Nuclear Power in the country & Safety Aspects of Nuclear Power Plants" and
"Omnipresence of Radiation” for the Second & Third Year Diploma students
(Computer Technology) of Shah & Anchor kutchi Polytechnic Institute , Mumbai on
September 19, 2014.
Shri A.K. Jain, Additional Chief Engineer (Corporate Communications), and
Shri. K. Grishkumar, Executive Engineer (Health, Safety & Environment), NPCIL,
delivered lectures on the "Need of Nuclear Power in the country, Safety Aspects of
Nuclear Power Plants etc." and "Omnipresence of Radiation" respectively.
About 140 students along with faculty attended this programme. .
The programme also included :
A Short Quiz session
Display of NPCIL informative and educative exhibits..
Screening of NPCIL multimedia films.
Distribution of NPCIL publications on various aspects of nuclear
power.
All students enthusiastically participated in the event. In the concluded
address, Head of the Institute appreciated the initiative of NPCIL towards public
outreach activities.
