Health Service Strategy set to steer Metro North forward
The Metro North Hospital and Health Service, Health Service Strategy 2015-20, launches today.
This is the strategic plan for clinical services to deliver tangible outcomes for patients across Metro North
over the next five years.
The strategy represents considerable investment in a wide range of improvements to facilities and
services across Metro North. This has been a 12 month journey involving consultation with a large
number of Clinicians, Staff, Executive, Community and Health Partners.
The Board has endorsed the strategy which outlines the direction and priorities for the Health Service for
the next five years. Please refer to the following links – the Health Service Strategy 2015-20, Health
Service Strategy 2015-20 Summary and Timeline.
Many of the highlights of the Strategy outline improvements for specific Hospitals and services to be
announced by Board Chair, Dr Paul Alexander during his visits to each facility in the coming weeks.
Dr Alexander said he was delighted to announce the launch of this Strategy that will enable Clinicians
and staff across Metro North to deliver outcomes for our patients and the community.
“The official launch of the Health Service Strategy 2015-20 signals the commencement of the
implementation process put in place to create a high quality and equitable system for our patients, carers
and communities”, Dr Alexander said.
