How to log in to SharePoint (The first step in uploading or reviewing IRB Submissions on the IRB Submissions SharePoint site.) Before you go on determine which kind of user you are: I am logging in from home or a non-UT computer and don’t recognize the term VPN. Click here before going on to the instructions below. I already have VPN and activated it. Continue reading. 1. Click on the following hyperlink https://hscshare.uthscsa.edu/sites/IRB/submissions2/ or paste / type the text into your internet explorer address bar. P.S. Safari doesn’t get along with the IRB SharePoint site as well as Internet Explorer. -If you are working from a non-UTHSCSA computer (at home or at another institution) and you have not yet downloaded and activated VPN you should review the VPN document first. 2. You should see the pop-up box below on your screen. Delete anything that might already be in the User name box. 3. Type the following into the user name box. The proper user names should have uthscsa (caps do not matter) then a backslash (that is the key above the enter key on your keyboard) then your uthscsa user name. Click in the password box and enter your uthscsa password. 4. You should see the page below. Click on the tabs (See red arrows below) to locate any submission the OIRB staff may have asked you to review. 5. Click on the little plus sign next to the submission type and again next to the Study Number to see all of your documents. 6. If you were asked to review and edit the form Z it is on the same page as the New Studies. 7. It may be helpful in this case to click on the Instructions for IRB Members since you will need to perform the same actions, check out, open, edit, save, close, check-in. Alternatively you could check out, right click and “save target as”, edit it on your computer (don’t change the name), click “Add new document” and upload as a new version of an existing document, then check in (it will ask you to do so on the second upload window).
