Simark Controls Ltd. becomes part of SFC Energy AG group
With the closing of SFC Energy’s acquisition transaction effective August 30, 2013,
Simark Controls has now become part of the international SFC Energy group.
In the context of this transaction, the full Simark Controls portfolio of market leading
products and services will continue to be at your disposal as before. To give you
even more options for solving your industrial application challenges in oil & gas,
mining, forestry, water and waste water, etc, it will now be complemented with the
innovative energy and power supply solutions portfolio of SFC Energy group.
SFC Energy group brings many years of innovative off-grid power solutions expertise
to industry. The Company, owner of the globally established EFOY and EFOY Pro
fuel cell generator brands, has sold over 28,000 of its systems into a large number of
industrial, defense and consumer applications. In these applications the
environmentally friendly, silent and weather independent power generators provide
reliable, fully automatic, remote controlled power to all kinds of electric and electronic

An additional part of the expanded Simark Controls offering is the range of high
quality power supply solutions developed by PBF Group B.V., a worldwide operating
member of SFC Energy Group, specializing in switched mode power supply solutions
and special coils. PBF develops, manufactures and markets power conversion
solutions from simple power supply units to customized, highly complex power
systems for industry, machinery and equipment (www.pbf-group.nl).
Simark Controls’ competence for highly efficient, customized solutions for a wide
range of industrial applications will be complemented with SFC Energy group’s
product and technology expertise in power generation and power distribution.
The former Simark shareholders, Mark Wheeler, Perry Jamart, Naresh Shankardass
and George Rouault, will continue to provide the leadership of Simark within SFC
Group. Based on the deal structure, they will also become shareholders of SFC
Energy AG.
Experienced SFC Managers will complement the leadership and drive a successful
integration together with the current Simark team. Furthermore it is intended to
integrate SFC’s non-government business in North America into the new joint
organization and run it out of Calgary as the regional headquarters as well as the
competence centre for the worldwide oil & gas industry.
