Mademoiselle Chapter of the Year Award

Volunteer Application
The MLLES Alumnae, Inc. (MLLES) is a 501 (c) (3) that provides programming, service projects
and scholarships to more than 250 young ladies of color on 15 high school campuses in the
Mademoiselle Social & Service Club (The Club). MLLES is successful solely because of its
dedicated membership of volunteers. We seek volunteers who are willing to dedicate their time
and skills to give back to the community.
Volunteers are encouraged to check their email at least twice/week for information regarding
upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. We also encourage you to “Like” our Facebook
Page: TheMademoiselles and follow us on Twitter @MLLES1960 for updates.
Applications are accepted year-round. Submit all applications to [email protected].
Volunteer Eligibility Criteria:
 Any man or woman dedicated to our cause and willing to serve
 Must volunteer at the Annual Conference held each April
 Encouraged to fundraise
 Encouraged to join a committee that will benefit from your skillset
 Encouraged to attend MLLES and Club events

Volunteer Application
Committees:
Food: Help select caterers and menu for the Annual Conference. Handle all food needs,
including paper ware, drinks, etc. at the Annual Conference.
Fundraising: Help plan fundraisers, including Dine & Donate Month, where chapters host benefit
nights at local restaurants to fundraise for the Annual Conference, and the Annual Wine Sip &
Social.
Hospitality: Work with local vendors to provide t-shirts, presenter gifts, alumnae appreciation
gifts, etc. for the Annual Conference.
Marketing: Contact local media to cover MLLES and Club events. Write press releases and
newsletters, update website, design fliers, etc. Help design and print the Annual Conference
Programs.
Membership: Develop programs and events to recruit and retain members and volunteers.
My Sister’s Closet: Help execute a pop-up store of donated, gently-worn business wear for The
Club.
Registration: Help collect data via forms, surveys, etc. for and during the Annual Conference.
Scholarship: Help provide information regarding MLLES and other scholarships to The Club. Help
plan the annual College Prep Workshop.
Booster Club: Parents of current and/or former Mademoiselles who serve directly through their
chapter as volunteers or Co-Sponsors.
