Webinar and Survey on Renewable Energy Decision Making
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF), through a 6-question survey and an online mapping exercise, is
hoping to gain a better understanding of the critical community needs or cultural values that should be
accounted for in decision making for renewable energy projects, including identifying specific areas of
interest for agriculture, forestry, recreation, aesthetic or other uses and values. The reason for this
analysis is to help develop a tool that will identify areas where renewable energy projects are best
suited and where development should be avoided. The tool will enable industry, government and
communities across Canada to create custom queries to best inform the sustainability concerns of the
renewable energy projects in their region.
