Evaluation Clinic Information:
Players and parents will have the opportunity to meet the coaches of the BSC
Developmental Program during the Evaluation Clinics. Coaches will assess player’s
strengths and weakness while running high energy, fundamental skill building drills
in all phases of the game. It is highly encouraged that anyone interested in joining
the BSC Developmental Program for the Fall attend at least one of the Evaluation
clinics, in order for the BSC staff to proper place players on the appropriate teams –
All players will be given an equal opportunity to join Team BSC or the Developmental
Program for players to develop at their own rates.

Basketball Program
and Team BSC

Program Description:
BSC coaching staff will select which program better suits each player after each evaluation session.
Team BSC:
★ P layers must come to at least one of the evaluation clinics
in August to be considered for a team. (Grades 5th-8th boys)
★ Players will be asked to join a team at the conclusion of
evaluations until 10 players are on each team.
★ Depending on skill level, some players may be asked to
play a division up to better develop their skills at a more
competitive level.
★ The program will consist of (2) weekly practices,
1 hour 30 minutes each with their respective teams/
coaching staff. Each practice will include fundamental
skill building drills, team concepts & speed/agility/strength
workouts.
★ Team BSC will compete in (3) weekend tournaments for
the fall season against Travel or AAU level programs & well
controlled scrimmages when opponents are available.
★ T he coaching staff will consist of positive, high energy and
developmentally driven individuals that will consistently
strive to help develop players in all aspects of the game as
well as prepare them for the next level of the game.
BSC Development Program
★ A ll boys from grades 3rd-6th & girls from 3rd -4th grade
qualify to join the BSC Developmental Program.
★ The Program will consist of a group practice session on
Monday’s (players will be divided up by skill/grade level)
and will work on different aspects of the game each week
using a station format which will maximize repetitions for
each player and will limit down time.
★ Wednesday’s practices will be used as scrimmage/live
game action. Players will be broken into teams based on
skill and age levels and be given the opportunity to play
in controlled games run by the BSC coaching staff. The
coaching staff will be the same coaches who will be in
charge of running the Team BSC program.
★ T he BSC Developmental Program will be used as a feeder
program to Team BSC with the goal of preparing players
who are interested in playing competitive basketball in
the winter for their town recreation or travel teams as well
as for Team BSC in the spring.
