Beginning Band
Beginning band is open to all students in 7th grade.
IMPORTANT INFO:
Band is only offered to beginners in 7th grade, so this is the year to
get involved!
Students must put band as their 1st elective choice and attend an
“Instrument Interview” to select their instrument, sign-up
available tonight following this meeting.
Please join us in the band hall immediately following this meeting
for an Instrument Showcase.

• Any student planning on being a part of BJH athletics
needs to have a sports physical completed by the first day
of school on the proper HEB sports physical form.
• Parents/athletes will need to also complete the
mandatory district athletic online paperwork

• Athlete’s are required to purchase athletics clothing $15
shirt, $15 short by the first day of school as well. These will
be available to purchase at registration.

Home Access Center is available and you will receive your
login information at open house in September.
Report Cards issued at the end of each six weeks and mailed
home at semester.
On-line report cards are available.
An individual student progress report is sent home with each
student at the end of the 3rd week of each six weeks grading
period.
If the student’s grade average falls below 74 at progress
report time, three weeks’ progress reports are sent by
subject area teachers.
Tutorials will be available for all students at 7:45 am or
3:20pm.

Pre-AP English 7, Pre-AP Math 7, Pre-AP Science 7
Current Pre-AP students will continue Pre-AP classes at BJH.
Current Pre-AP math students will be enrolled in Pre-AP Science 7 at BJH.
Current students not in Pre-AP and wishing to do so, may speak to a
counselor about meeting the requirements to move in to the Pre-AP
program
Students in Pre-AP must maintain a 75 average or higher in the class.
Student making 74 or below in two 6 week grading periods run the risk
of removal from the program
