Panel Session I “Energy and Environment”
At the Paris Climate Conference in December 2015, 195 countries
adopted the first ever universal, legally binding global climate deal to limit
global warming to below 2 degrees Celsius. To meet the goal, more
innovative actions and technologies are necessary. This session will
share and discuss the U.S. and Japan’s policies to accelerate
environmental innovation, and business sector responses to combatting
climate change.

Panel Session II “Investment and Trade”
In March 2016, the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement was signed by
ministers of 12 participating countries, and is under the domestic treaty
ratification process in each respective country. TPP will create a huge
trade zone that includes some ASEAN countries, one of the fastest
growing markets in the world. This session will explore TPP’s effect and
opportunities for both U.S. and Japanese businesses.
