PBIS Punch System
Individual Punch Cards:
Each day the students can move up and down the ladder depending on their
behavior. If they are demonstrating above and beyond behaviors they move up
the ladder. However, if they are not showing PRIDE and adhering to school wide
expectations they can move down the ladder. At the end of the day they receive
one punch for staying on Ready to Learn, two for Good day, three for Great day,
and four for Outstanding day. If they are below ready to learn they do not receive
a punch in their card.
Class Punch Cards:
Your class punch cards are to be used when your whole class gets compliment.
This can be during specials, hallway, cafeteria, etc. You can decide how to reward
your class using the class punch card.
Class rosters/specials:
When traveling in the hallway or to specials carry your roster with you in a folder.
During specials the teacher can add a + or – next to the students name depending
on if they need to move up or down the ladder. This is something we tweaked to
make it easier for both specialty and classroom teachers. You can tell at a glance
where the student needs to move when you return to the classroom.
Hole punches:
We have purchased heart hole punches for all of the staff members. However,
they have not arrived yet. They should be here soon, but if they are not here
before school starts use a regular punch, or cross out the paws and then punch
them out later.
