Hosted by Busan Metropolitan City, Korea Railroad and the Korea Rail Network Authority, and jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt Korea Ltd and BEXCO, RailLog Korea 2015 is now ready to welcome opinion leaders, engineers and distributors from the worldwide rail industry. This year’s show will record its largest ever exhibition space of 17,000sqm gross, which is 3,000sqm larger than the 2013 edition, and will feature 161 exhibitors from 21 countries. Leading domestic players such as Hyundai Rotem, Woojin Industrial Systems, Dawonsys, Yujin Machinery, Sampyo E&C and Messe Frankfurt Korea Ltd. Most significantly, major domestic rolling stock manufacturers are planning to exhibit their rolling stock mockups and train vehicles at the fairground, which will definitely cement RailLog Korea as the must-attend event for the railway industry. In addition, Korea’s important railway organisations such as Korea Rail Network Authority (KR), Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI), Busan Transportation Corporation (Humetro), the Korea Railroad Association (KORASS), the Korea Rolling Stock Industries Association (KORSIA) and others will have their own booths at the show so as to connect with the exhibiting companies and industry experts who visit the fair. “Partner Country Austria” to present first-ever Austrian pavilion as well as seminars and workshops One of the most significant show highlights at RailLog Korea 2015 is that Austria has been declared as a “Partner Country” for the 2015 fair. The first-ever Austrian national pavilion will be organised by the Commercial Section of Austrian Embassy, with five Austrian companies participating. “Austria has a long tradition in the railways industry, and over many decades has developed a vibrant business environment supporting this important transportation sector. Especially in the railroad track industry, Austrian technology is well known worldwide. At RailLog 2015 some of the highest railway technology from Austria will be showcased. I am very glad that Austria was appointed as a partner country for RailLog Korea 2015, one of the world’s four largest fairs dedicated to the railways and rail vehicle industries,” commented Dr. Franz Schröder, Commercial Counsellor of the Austrian Embassy. On the occasion of RailLog Korea 2015, the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy will be organising the “Austria Railway Page 3 RailLog Korea, 10 – 13 June 2015 Technology Workshop” with the subtitle of “Innovation from the heart of Europe”. The main objectives of the workshop are to seek opportunities for mutual development, technology cooperation and promotion of bilateral trade in the railway industry between Korea and Austria. After the workshop, a dinner reception will follow for further networking opportunities between the railway businesses of Korea and Austria. Train vehicles, mock-ups and diverse fringe events to match the industry’s interests Furthermore, RailLog Korea 2015 will provide a wide variety of fringe programme events covering a comprehensive range of key industry topics, including seminars and conferences organised by the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement (KAIA), the Korea Tram Organization, the Korea Society of Transportation and the Korean Society for Urban Railway. Siemens Korea is also planning to host three sections for its technical seminars. In addition, the Global Project Plaza (GPP) hosted by KOTRA, and the Job Fair sponsored by Korail, KR and Humetro, are expected to contribute positively to the railway industry.
