“Partner Country Austria” to present first-ever Austrian
pavilion as well as seminars and workshops
One of the most significant show highlights at RailLog Korea 2015
is that Austria has been declared as a “Partner Country” for the
2015 fair. The first-ever Austrian national pavilion will be organised
by the Commercial Section of Austrian Embassy, with five Austrian
companies participating.
“Austria has a long tradition in the railways industry, and over many
decades has developed a vibrant business environment supporting
this important transportation sector. Especially in the railroad track
industry, Austrian technology is well known worldwide. At RailLog
2015 some of the highest railway technology from Austria will be
showcased. I am very glad that Austria was appointed as a partner
country for RailLog Korea 2015, one of the world’s four largest fairs
dedicated to the railways and rail vehicle industries,” commented
Dr. Franz Schröder, Commercial Counsellor of the Austrian
Embassy.
On the occasion of RailLog Korea 2015, the Commercial Section of
the Austrian Embassy will be organising the “Austria Railway

heart of Europe”. The main objectives of the workshop are to seek
opportunities for mutual development, technology cooperation and
promotion of bilateral trade in the railway industry between Korea
and Austria. After the workshop, a dinner reception will follow for
further networking opportunities between the railway businesses of
Korea and Austria.
Train vehicles, mock-ups and diverse fringe events to match
the industry’s interests
Furthermore, RailLog Korea 2015 will provide a wide variety of
fringe programme events covering a comprehensive range of key
industry topics, including seminars and conferences organised by
the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement
(KAIA), the Korea Tram Organization, the Korea Society of
Transportation and the Korean Society for Urban Railway. Siemens
Korea is also planning to host three sections for its technical
seminars. In addition, the Global Project Plaza (GPP) hosted by
KOTRA, and the Job Fair sponsored by Korail, KR and Humetro,
are expected to contribute positively to the railway industry.
