To whom it may concern, SIFEE NEW ENERGY Ltd. is a company engaged in the field of renewable energy projects, focusing on geothermal energy. What is the reason for this interest? Because large amounts of heat are stored in the continental crust of the earth, and due to the fact that geothermal water is a wonderful "transporter" of this energy to us. It is important to find areas that have two important characteristics, a geothermal anomaly where the crust is thinner and thus magma "closer" to the earth's surface is and the existence of thermal water reserves geothermal aquifers. Thickness of the European Plate, with indication of SIFEE geothermal perimeters Today there are technologies which extract the heat of the earth and produce from geothermal water, renewable energy. Unlike wind or solar energy, which are proportional to the fluctuations of the wind or of the solar lighting, geothermal systems, have the advantage to access a natural and constant energy source - the earth's energy. In recent years in several locations in Europe, which have a particularly high geothermal potential, plants, which transform through cascade processes, the geothermal energy first in "green" electricity and then into thermal energy, have been commissioned. The thermal energy is then used, to heat homes and greenhouses, for industrial processes, for fish farming and aquaculture and for the operation of spas and other recreational establishments. In all of these locations there is a number of old abandoned, exploration drilling wells. We own original geological and geophysical data of these boreholes. Using our exploration truck and exploration tools we have verified and confirmed the original information. These have determined us to purchase land plots around these drilling wells in order to secure the access to them and obtain from the National Agency for Mineral Resources licenses for 5 geothermal perimeters (license field). For each of them there is a SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) – Project Company dedicated. Each project in particularly has the advantage that, on one side, they are sufficiently developed and, on the other side, all of the projects being in progress we can adjust and dedicate equipments and technologies before obtaining the final specific permits to which we can`t make subsequent changes. We wish to accentuate here the fact that all of the proposed geothermal projects have very special particularities. A description of our five license fields (geothermal perimeters) can be found below. Through the position of this perimeter this area is suited not only for energy generation but also using geothermal water for generating cascades of applications like greenhouses, sturgeon fish-farming and other applications. This perimeter is superposed over an area with hydro geological interest, with a geothermal gradient of 55-56°C for each 1000m. The aquifer temperature is of 118 - 122°C at 1850-1900m depth. This perimeter belongs from geological point of view to the Pannonian basin and consists therefore of sediments layer. The aquifer collector is a sandstone with 27% porosity, with average permeability of 1,5 Darcie and electrical conductivity is 6.200-7.500mS/cm. Water mineralization is less than 3,5 gr/l, radioactivity is up to 0,15 µSv/h (more under the limit). 2. “HC” (Bihor county) geothermal licensed field is located at only 7km from the city of Oradea (260,000 inhabitants). This is one of the most valuable geothermal sites in Europe because the 7sqkm (700ha) perimeter is located over a 5000m deep „hole”. The geological structure of the „hole” is a overlapping of sedimentary layers easy to drill and between 4300-4700m there is a huge geothermal aquifer quartered in a collector made of naturally fractured limestone and dolomites, followed by crystalline basement. The temperature at the base is estimated at 230240°C. Water mineralisation is between 4-10gr/l. Considering the high temperature and the naturally fractured collector the location presents a great opportunity for geothermal power generation. Because the perimeter is connected to the city of Oradea through an abandoned railroad there is also the possibility to place a pipe-line between the electro-geothermal plant and the city’s centralized heating system, pipe-line through which the produced thermal energy can be delivered for the district heating power plant. Water temperature aquifer A: 141°C at 2000m. Geothermal aquifer`s depth A: 2000m Geological structure: sediment`s layer. Thermal water collector: sandstone with 27% porosity Electrical conductivity: 6200 -7500 mS/cm. Mineralization: (very low) lower than 4000mg / Liter Average permeability of rock formations / sandstone: 1,5 Darcie Water temperature aquifer B: 200 - 210°C at 3200m Geothermal aquifer`s depth B: 3200m Geothermal water collector: porous volcanic tuff. Radioactivity: (under limits): 0,15 µSv/h (more under the limit) Surface of licensed perimeter: cca. 9,6sqkm (960ha) 4. “ADY” (Satu-Mare county) geothermal licensed field perimeter is a very well documented perimeter with a large surface. Water temperature aquifer: over 142°C at 2200m Geothermal aquifer`s depth: 2200m Geological structure: sediment`s layer. Thermal water collector: sandstone with 28% porosity Electrical conductivity: 6200 -7500 mS/cm Mineralization: (very low) lower than 3500mg / Liter Average permeability of rock formations / sandstone: 1,5 Darcie. Radioactivity: (under limits): 0,15 µSv/h (more under the limit) Surface of licensed perimeter: cca. 21sqkm (2100ha) 5. “VAR” (Arad county) geothermal licensed field perimeter is very close to the Hungarian city Gyula. Water temperature: 210-230°C Geothermal aquifer`s depth: 4500-4900m Geological structure: sediment`s layer Geothermal water collector: sandstone with porosity Mineralization: (very low) lower than 7000mg / Liter Radioactivity: (under limits):0,15 µSv/h Surface of licensed perimeter: cca. 17,5sqkm (1750ha) SIFEE NEW ENERGY srl Mihai Viteazu St.,11 www.sifeenewenergy.eu 557260 Selimbar, Sibiu, Romania Tel: 0040 269 56052 [email protected] Fax:0040 269 560552
