Change of model. Now responsive to current learning practices. There is no one approach
Initial discussion with the school outline money to be spent in the next ten years.
What do you want for your school? It takes several meetings.
Currently actively working with eight schools.
Schedule is reliant on school’s readiness for change
The focus is no longer just on buildings but ensuring the pedagogy is a major consideration in planning the building
works within the Diocese.
Schools need to work on “getting ready” prior to building planning stage.
“ Getting ready”: Understanding the process and impact on your staff/ community/. Spend time developing vision
for teaching and learning and how the building will impact on your school.
Furniture and Equipment Grant - needs to be provisioned
A percentage is paid to BOT July every year.
It is essential that school BOTs ensure that the Furniture and Equipment Grant is put aside each year for their
building upgrade.
