Burglary / Thefts / Criminal Damage to Property 3 Feb 17, 1839 hours. Criminal Trespass to Property. 4833 N Olcott Ave. Property manager stated that an unk M/W subject had followed a resident into the secure underground parking garage and was looking inside of vehicles. Subject was confronted by the resident who was described as being a M/W, thin build wearing a gray jacket, black pants and white gym shoes. Incident captured on CCTV. HHPD Detective Division investigating. 4 Feb 17, 0020 – 1230 hours. Burglary to Motor Vehicle. 6864 W Gunnison St. Victim stated that unk off(s) had entered her parked unlocked black 2003 Honda Accord and had taken various tools, book bag, Nike gym shoes, People’s Gas vest, Helmut and ID having a total value of $290.00. 6 Feb 17, 1700-1000 hours. Criminal Damage to Property. 7410 W Lawrence Ave. Victim stated that unk off (s) had keyed his parked 2016 gray Kia Soul along both passenger side doors and front fender.7 Feb 17, 0630-1630 hours. Criminal Damage to Property. 7319 W Wilson Ave (Parking lot). Victim stated that unk off(s) had damaged his 1998 blue Dodge Dakota pickup truck’s rear sliding cab window. 10 Feb 17, 1040 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence Ave. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated that he observed a F/W subject place food and liquor worth $181.83 inside of a blue bag who then attempted to exit the store without paying for the merchandise. The subject was stopped by the agent who then called HHPD. A Paschall, Lisa M F/W 44 YOA, 5903 W Irving Park Road, Chicago was charged with Retail Theft on a signed Misdemeanor complaint. Incident was captured on CCTV. 10 Feb 17, 1459-1501 hours. Burglary to Motor Vehicle. 4548 N Harlem Ave. (Biomed parking lot). Victim stated that he parked his gray 2013 Volkswagen Passat in the parking lot and had used his key fob to lock his vehicle’s doors then went inside of a store for five minutes. Upon returning to his vehicle the observed that his driver’s door was unlocked and that unk off(s) had entered his vehicle taking a envelope containing $3,300.00 in U.S.C. all one hundred dollar bills and a men’s wrist watch. Incident was captured on CCTV and showed a F/W subject in black clothing and long black hair entering the vehicle then leaving S/B Harlem Ave in an older model silver Nissan Murano. HHPD Detective Division investigating. 14 Feb 17, 07550-00810 hours. Motor Vehicle Theft. 5022 N Harlem Ave. (McDonald’s lot). Victim stated that unk off(s) had taken her parked, running, unlocked 2002 dark blue Volkswagen Super Beetle IL plate # S376320. 14 Feb 17, 1240-1857 hours. Criminal Damage to Property. 73515 W Wilson Ave. (Parking lot). Victim stated that unk off(s) had attempted to pry open two vehicles driver’s side door handles on two parked vehicles being a black Mazda RX 7 and a red 4 door Honda Accord damaging them. 15-17 Feb 17, 1700-1410 hours. Burglary to Motor Vehicle. 7200 W Lawrence Ave. Victim stated that unk off(s) had shattered the front passenger window on his parked white 1994 Ford pickup truck and had taken his black Sony speaker and amplifier from within the middle console which was valued at $200.00. 18 Feb 17, 1630-1700 hours. Criminal Damage to Property. 6507 W Forest Preserve Drive. Victim stated that unk off (s) had shattered his rear window on his parked blue 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander. Victim believes that a golf ball could have caused the damage but could not be located near the vehicle. 19 Feb 17, 1935-1938 hours. Retail Theft. 6832 W Montrose Ave. (Harwood Heights Deli). Store owner stated that he observed on CCTV a M/W juvenile subject described as being 5’8” tall, grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes carrying a black back pack place 4 bottles of Smirnoff Ice liquor inside the back pack then walk out of his store. The store owner also said that the subject shops in his store quite often and attends Ridgewood High school. HHPD Juvenile Division investigating. 24 Feb 17, 1130 hours. Theft of Service/ WOW. 6860 W Gunnison St. Cab driver stated that he had dropped off a fare and the M/W subject was going to go inside and get money to pay him the $23.00 fare. The subject described as around 60 YOA, blue jacket and jeans wearing a gray sweatshirt never returned to pay. HHPD then located the subject hiding inside the laundry area placing him into custody. A Mocarski, Zbigniew M/W 61 YOA, 6860 W Gunnison St was charged with Misdemeanor Theft of Service and also with a Misdemeanor $10,000.00 DUI warrant and was held in lieu of a bond hearing. 25-27 Feb 17, 0200-1400 hours. Theft. 4747 N Ronald St. Victim stated that unk off(s) had taken his rear registration IL plate # E752414 from his parked black 2014 Ford Focus. Crimes against Persons 7 Feb 17, 1345 hours. Aggravated Assault. 7624 W Gunnison St. Victim stated that a male subject that she knows only as Carlos Rivera was pounding on her door stating that she owes him $900.00. Subject displayed a black handgun and threatened the victim and stepfather. The offender then left the area in an 2 door 2003 silver Honda Civic. HHPD Detective Division investigating. 26 Feb 17, 1014 hours. Domestic Battery. 4431 N Newcastle Ave. Victim stated that he was arguing with his live in girlfriend about the lease and that he began videotaping her because she has made accusations before of him striking her in the past. The girlfriend then became combative grabbing his neck and scratching his face. A Leon, Joanna L F/W 30YOA, 4431 N Newcastle Ave was charged with Misdemeanor Domestic Battery on a signed complaint and was held in lieu of a bond hearing. 27 Feb 17, 1732 hours. Domestic Battery. 6742 W Forest Preserve Drive. Mother of the victim stated that she was having a verbal argument with her sister and that her 11 year old son was attempting to separate them when her sister bit the boy’s left lower forearm breaking the skin. A Panchuk, Liubov M F/W 37 YOA, 2416 W Iowa St, Chicago was charged with Misdemeanor Domestic Battery on a signed complaint and was held in lieu of a bond hearing. Seniors Home repair scams/ Ruse burglaries. Reminder: Do not allow anyone into your residence that you do not know and didn’t call for service. Scam artists knock on your door offering to repair something in or around your home for a very low price. They ask you to pay upfront and you will never see them again or if you allow them inside your residence, they will distract you and steal your valuables. All Village Employees/PublicWorks have IDs on them at all times. Ask for ID and call 911 for verification. THE VILLAGE HAS TWO RED LIGHT CAMERAS, HARLEM AND LAWRENCE IS A NO TURN ON RED INTERSECTION, TWO SIGNS ARE POSTED. HARLEM AND FOSTER IS A NO TURN ON RED WHEN PEDESTRIANS ARE PRESENT, THIS MEANS YOU CAN TURN BUT YOU MUST STILL COME TO A COMPLETE STOP FIRST BEFORE YOU NAVAGATE YOUR TURN AND THAT NO PEDESTRIANS ARE PRESENT.
