BRIGHT BRAINS feels the need to develop interest in the mind of our youngsters for
Mathematics as a subject, as we personally feel and it’s also a fact that one may ignore some
of the subjects but not Mathematics. It’s a part and parcel of our lives, from buying a
chocolate or candy in childhood till the various dealings in either jobs or business deals and
further on. Calculations in every aspect of life is there to stay. So, why not prepare our
children for tomorrow from today itself? Why not try to bring out the Bright brain in them to
brighten their future?
Why the Mental Math’s Competition?
Ability to solve any problem not only gives a sense of
satisfaction but also motivates one to take a step further and
engage oneself in complex task solving. With due respect to
other subjects which are also necessary in life, as mentioned
earlier, still one may skip any other subject but not Math’s due
it’s continuous and parallel existence in our day to day lives. If
our children learn these Mathematical skills in their early stage
of life, it shall not only give them a brain charging exercise very
much necessary to increase brain power but also make their
lives easier in future.
Involvement in Mathematical calculations has its
own benefits;
 A child takes his/her first step in numerical world.
 A child takes his/her step in being independent
 A child gains confidence and in turn gets further encouraged in problem
solving, which in turn enhances his/her skills and takes him/her to a new
height.
 A child gets a sense of pride, which is necessary to boost his/her enthusiasm
towards problem solving.
 A child gets prepared to face the complicated world where not a single day
passes without numbers being used in day to day life (which we are unaware
of as we never think of it).
Competition & Features
 The Mental Math's Competition is designed for
students from Grade I to Grade IV
 The main objectives of this competitive examination are: To test speed, accuracy & skills of arithmetic calculations
 To encourage interaction with numbers & their manipulations
 To boost self-confidence and encouragement in students in
solving problems of varying levels of difficulty.
 To prepare the students for a life ahead full of challenges
 After enrolment, 3 books and a model paper will be provided to prepare for the
examination. With small kids in mind, the study material / worksheets are
designed user-friendly in such a way that they can study and practice on their
own - without much support from others. Learning while having fun shall be a
great experience for them.
 First round examination details: The examination will be held in the month of November/December.
 Time duration will be 1 ½ hours.
 No negative marking for first round of examination.
 Management reserves right to change date and/or venue due to
unforeseen events
 Successful students will get certificate. Students scoring greater than or equal
to cut-off marks will be selected for "Grand Finale" which will be held in
January / February of next year.
 Cut-off marks for Grand Finale:Std. I:
295 and above (out of 300)
Std. II - IV:
180 and above (out of 200)
Grand Finale key points:-
 Time duration is 1 hour. Total marks will be same as first round.
 Negative marking system. Half mark will be reduced for every
wrong answer.
 Syllabus will be same as first round but with increased level of
difficulty
Top three positions in Grand Finale will be awarded
cash prizes •
1st prize – Rs. 10,000 /-

2nd prize – Rs. 5,000 /-
•
3rd prize – Rs. 3,000 /-
Other meritorious students will be awarded Medals and Certificates of Merit. If there
is a tie, first round marks will be considered to resolve the tie. If a tie for any
position remains unresolved, prize money will be distributed / shared as per the
method described on website.
