Italian Beginners’Course Sample Assessment Task (Listening and Writing) Language: Italian Beginners Target Group: HSC Year 12 Mark: Weighting: 30 - Listening 15, Writing 15 20% - 10% per component Date due: End of unit Syllabus Topic: Future plans and aspirations Components: Listening and Writing Context: Culminating task encompassing all aspects of the topic of Future plans and aspirations, focusing on the sub topics of travel, career and life plans Task: Part 1: Listen to the recording and answer the questions that follow in English. (4-5 questions on a text which will include references to future travel plans, career paths and personal life). Part 2: Read a short email from a friend. Write a response of 125 words in Italian. (The email refers to the context of the recording and serves as a stimulus for the writing task.) He covers the topics of love and relationships, work and travel. You will hear the conversation. The text will be broken up into sections. Each section will be played twice.
