The National Fairground and Circus Archive is celebrating
the donation of the Circus Friends Association Archive to the
University of Sheffield.
The exhibition is dedicated to the memory of the late Malcom
Clay, CFA’s archivist for many years. It showcases rare and
important posters, handbills, programmes and archives from
Britain’s leading twentieth century circuses, including Bertram
Mills’, Billy Smart’s, Robert Brothers, Chipperfield’s, Fossett’s,
and Blackpool Tower.

10 billion: Future prospects and current thinking with Danny Dorling
The author of Population 10 Billion, Professor Danny Dorling, will deliver a talk on his pioneering
research into the subject of population growth. He will be joined by his former University of Sheffield
colleague, Carl Lee, and together they will debate the reliability of current UN projections and discuss
what it will mean for our planet if the projections come true.
