 1ST FIX
(Installing high pressure hose(s) to nozzle location(s) ceiling mounted.
Mist Fire Suppression Ltd (MFS). will need to install 22mm high
pressure hose(s) from the agreed pump position to the agreed ceiling
nozzle locations – NB. This will have been agreed on site following a
survey undertaken by MFS engineers and the client’s representative
(this will normally be the building contractor. However, please ensure
whom so ever on site is the main point of contact and who makes
decisions on the clients behalf is in attendance). The high pressure
hose(s) must be installed within the building fabric, albeit this is a
ceiling mounted system there may be a need to run high pressure
hoses from the pump position. This may require the hoses being run in
22mm high pressure hose
floors, and or walls to the first nozzle position. The client or the clients
representative must ensure complete freedom of access through the agreed routes to enable to run the high
pressure hose(s) without any obstructions, i.e. all routes agreed must be open and accessible, (MFS do not
undertake any building works).
 2nd Fix
Electrical Requirements – per pump
Before the second fix installation can commence all water and all electrical supplies to every pump location
must be permanent and live. Please see abortive call charges information at the foot of these instructions.
All details shown below relate to a single pump installation. In the case of multi pump installations all the
requirements detailed below will need to be repeated in each pump position.
Elite Fire Safety require a NON RCD protected supply run in FP200 (2.5mm) fire retardant grade cable to a
20amp lockable (rotary type) switch at the agreed pump position. The supply is to be wired from the client’s
consumer unit (Fuse Board) – 17th edition compliant. The Non RCD circuit to be protected at the fuse board
with a C20 breaker (per pump).

Option 1
1st fix – Running high pressure Hose(s)

Free & unhindered access for the high pressure hose run from the agreed pump position to the
agreed spray head position. We require a clear unhindered access to the pump position. Any chasing
etc. will need to have been completed prior to us undertaking the first fix.
2nd fix – Installation of pump(s), spray head(s) and commissioning of the completed system

This will be MFS last visit – All testing/commissioning will be completed at the 2nd fix stage
Before the second fix installation can commence all water and all electrical supplies to each and every
pump location must be permanent and live. (As per the previous pages in this document). All pumps,
ceiling mounted nozzle locations must be ready and accessible for the commissioning of the system.
Option 2
Full install – All works completed in a single site visit

All the 1st & 2nd fix requirements will be carried out on a single visit. NB this option will only be carried
out following full up-front payment of the project
All the information contained within this contractors pack is designed to ensure the seamless installation of the
Nebula high pressure water mist fire suppression system and must be strictly adhered. This document must be
read and understood by the client or client’s representative thus avoiding the likelihood of any abortive calls or
possible additional charges for revisits. Abortive call charges will be made if;
There is no permanent water supply
There is no permanent electrical supply
Pump positions are not cleared and available for pump installation
Agreed pump enclosures (if required) have not been installed
Pump enclosures (if required) are not the correct size
Unhindered access for high pressure hose installation is not facilitated.
Our current abortive call charge is £150.00 + vat per day and will be levied without exception if our works
are affected, delayed or aborted. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions sent with this quotation.
To alleviate any potential site issues, a site survey will always be undertaken and all pump positions, spray
head positions and hose runs agreed with the on-site MFS engineer and the client or client’s representative.
Once agreed a signature will be required from the client or client’s representative on our site survey sheet
agreeing that all parties understand the pre installation requirements of the Nebula system.
