Use as a pencil holder a flower vase or a table centrepiece
Great little project for your children
The materials that you need are:
1 empty jar
1 Yellow Construction Paper
1 8" x 12" Green Felt
5-6 Dozen Yellow Buttons (Depends on how big your jar is)
Glue Stick
Glue Gun
Clear Tape
A Pencil
A Pair of Scissors
A Ruler
Step 1:
Measure your jar, cover it with the yellow construction paper and tape the back and bottom with clear
tape.
Step 2:
Prepare your buttons and place glue stick on the back.
Step 3:
Stick the buttons one by one on the jar.
Step 4:
Stick the buttons one by one until you cover 2/3 of the entire jar. Set Aside.
Step 5:
Prepare your green felt and sketch the leaves of the corn. Measure 4-5 leaves, depending on how wide
your jar is. You can make 2" x 4" size leaves if your jar is the size of a regular drinking glass.
Step 6:
Start cutting the felt leaves.
Now you have the button-covered jar and the felt leaves.
Step 7:
Place glue stick on the back of the leaves, covering only half of its space.
Step 8:
Stick one leaf on the lower part of the jar, folding the pointed part outward. Stick the leaves one by one
until you cover the entire bottom part of the jar.
And that's it. Your corn pencil holder is done. You can also use this as a flower vase, or a tissue holder on
your dinner table. If you have several tables, you can use this as a centrepiece to make your Harvest
Festival dinner party come alive.
