Troubleshooting
For Technical Support in North America,
call 1-877-MY-MERLIN (1-877-696-3754).
Can’t Read Data
If the Read icon is lit and all five progress
lights are flashing, the transmitter is
unable to read your device data.
1. Press the Start button once to stop the
flashing lights and beeping sounds.
2. Remove other electronic items from
the area.
3. Make sure the front of the transmitter
faces where you sleep.
The transmitter will attempt to read your
device again until it succeeds.
Call Clinic
If the Stars icon is lit and all five progress
lights are flashing, call your clinic.
1. Press the Start button once to stop the
flashing lights and beeping sounds.
2. Call your clinic.
Can’t Send Data
If the Tower icon is lit and all five
progress lights are flashing, the
transmitter is unable to send your
device data.
1. Make sure the splitter is plugged into
the wall jack.
2. Make sure the transmitter and phone
cords are plugged into the splitter.
3. Make sure your phone is not busy.
4. Press the Start button once.
The transmitter will attempt to redial.
Call Technical Support
If all five progress lights are lit, OR if the
transmitter is plugged in and the green
power light does not come on, the
transmitter is not functioning properly.

Splitter
Place the transmitter on your
nightstand or a table close to your bed.

If you have a free wall jack, plug the
splitter attached to the transmitter cord
into the wall jack and go to Step 3.
OR: If there is already a phone cord
in the wall jack, remove it and plug
the splitter into the wall jack.
Plug the phone cord into the splitter’s
open end. Your phone will continue to
function normally.

Note. The splitter shown may look
different from the one packaged with
your transmitter but the function is
the same.

Plug the power supply into the wall
electrical outlet. The green power
light will come on and remain on. The
transmitter will take a few moments
to power up.
Note. If the green power light does
not come on, call Technical Support.

When the transmitter beeps and its
lights flash, go to Step 4.

Face the front of the transmitter and
press the Start button for 1 to 2 seconds
until you hear a beep, then release the
button. Remain still and within arm’s
length of the transmitter during the
remainder of this setup.

First, the Read icon will light up when
the transmitter detects your device.
Note. If the transmitter beeps
continuously and its lights flash, move
closer to the transmitter and press the
Start button again.

Second, the Tower icon will light up when
the transmitter contacts your clinic.

Finally, the Stars icon will light up. Your
setup is now complete.

Leave the transmitter in place and
plugged in. Make sure the front of the
transmitter faces where you sleep.
Your Merlin@home transmitter will now
monitor your device according to the
schedule set by your clinic.
