The world is shifting from an industrial
economy to a knowledge economy.
• The rising generation-brought up on the internet-is very
differently motivated to learn.
Labour surplus in Hungary
- oversupply of graduates (10-15 times more than the economy can
tolerate yearly, 2011)
-a lot of graduates with the same qualifications (economists, lawyers,
bachelors of art, people in trade, sales and production) - the result is
career change
-university and college graduates obtain higher wages - difficulty in
finding jobs – retraining
-vocational workers find jobs more easily – lower wages

-Most school leavers (university, college 70%,vocational training 30%)
- beginners (university/ college 50%, final exam 30%,vocational training 20%)
-All students consider professional expertise the most important in their future.
-70% considers language competency, language exam crucial
-All school leavers are satisfied with the qualification they got in our school.
-80% of school leavers claim finding a job is almost impossible in the present situation
in Hungary. It is mainly because of the lack of work experience(business needs it even if
it’s not always possible to acquire during studying) and the lack of vacancies.
