EPA Brownfield Grants
• Annual national competition every fall
• Area wide planning, assessment, cleanup,
revolving loan fund, and job training
grants
• Provides seed funding for brownfield
projects
National Grid Brownfield
Redevelopment Assistance Program
National Grid offers
grant funding to
brownfield projects
within the utility’s
service territory
Eligible Applicants: Municipalities, local development
corporations, non-profits working in tandem with a
municipality, and owners/developers of brownfield sites
National Grid Brownfield
Redevelopment Assistance Program
Eligible costs: Utility related infrastructure
improvements, building demolition, Phase I and II
ESAs, and other costs to progress brownfields
redevelopment
Award Amounts: Grants up to $300,000 and can be
used for up to twenty-five percent (25%) of eligible
project costs
Maximum funding for investigations is $25,000
