Land Race™ Card Game Instructions
Ages: 4 - 9,
Players: 2 - 4
Number of Cards: 35 plus instructions.
Object of game: The winner is the first player to collect three region Cards in a numerical sequence.
Types of Cards:
REGIONAL CARD: These are the cards a player needs to collect to win.
DANGER CARD: A player may place these cards in front of any opponent to prevent him from putting
down his REGIONAL CARDS. A player eliminates the DANGER CARD in front of him by putting an ACE
RACER CARD on top of the DANGER CARD.
Remember, you cannot play until an ACE RACER CARD covers the DANGER CARD.
ACE RACER CARDS: A player uses this card to avoid a DANGER CARD that is in front of him. Cover the
DANGER CARD with ACE RACER.
Let’s play:
1.
Shuffle the cards. Each player picks a card. The first player who picks an Ace Racer is the
dealer.
The dealer deals the cards face down (picture side down) to each player. If there are two or
three players, deal each four cards. If there are four players, give each player three cards.
3.
Place the remaining cards face down, in a pile. This is the draw-pile.
4.
The player to the left of the dealer is first. He takes the top card from the draw-pile and looks
to see if he has three Regional cards in numerical order.
5.
If he has three Regional cards in numerical sequence, he places them on the table. He has
won the game!
6.
If the player does not have three Regional cards in numerical sequence, he discards one card.
He does this by three ways:

a) If he has a Danger card, he places it in front of any of his opponents,
8.
b) If he has a Danger card in front of him, he places an Ace Racer card from his hand on top of
the Danger card,
9.
c) If he discards one card from his hand, face down next to the draw-pile.
10.
If you have used your turn to cover a Danger card with an Ace Racer card, you may not put
down the numerical sequence of Regional cards until your next turn. Of course, by then, an opponent
may have placed another Danger card in your path!
