THE INVITATIONAL
Invitational 4-Ball Tournament
June 9th – 11th, 2017
The Country Club of Pittsfield is pleased to invite your team to play in the
Invitational Four-Ball Tournament to be held on the weekend of June 9th11th, 2017. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to approve
any team change.
There will be a complimentary practice round on Thursday, June 8th. You
must make a tee time for Thursday. If you are unable to play on this day
please call the Golf Shop and make earlier arrangements. Practice rounds
may be played as early as May 26th. Carts not included in practice round.
On Friday, June 9th there will be tee times for the 18-hole qualifying
round. Qualifying rounds will be played from the black tees. There will
be a skins pool on Friday and closest to the pin on some par 3’s.
After all qualifying scores are posted, the field will be placed into divisions
playing match play without handicaps. The teams will be separated into:
Championship Division of 16 teams, 2nd Division of 16 teams, 4th Division
of 8 teams, 5th Division of 8 teams, 6th Division of 8 teams and 7th Division
of 8 teams. In case of any ties for placement all Divisions will match cards in
accordance to USGA Formula. In the event of a tie for medalist, a play-off
will be held on the 10th tee as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to be
present for the play-off.
On Saturday, June 10th, all teams will commence play within their
respective divisions. In the Championship and Second division, after the
first round of match play, the 16 teams who lost their morning matches will
be placed into two new divisions; the First and Third Divisions respectively.
These new divisions will continue play on Saturday afternoon. Losers on
Saturday afternoon in all of the divisions shall be placed into the consolation
sections of their respective divisions and will have matches Sunday morning.
Consolation winners Sunday morning will play Sunday afternoon. All teams
that begin play on Friday will be required to compete all rounds through
Sunday afternoon.
Legends Division: (Ages 55 & Up) Teams electing to participate in the
Legends Division will qualify on Friday. Scores from Friday will double as a
qualifying round and your first of three 18 hole rounds. 54-hole better ball
of partners stroke play will determine the winner of the Legends.
Please note the full program of social activities; check off on your entry
card those events you will be attending. If your guest is accompanying
you for the weekend, please indicate which events they will be attending
along with their first name. It is very important that we have an accurate
count.
The privileges of the Country Club of Pittsfield and its facilities (club,
lake and tennis) are extended to you and your family for the days of the
event. You and your guest may sign for all meals and drinks.
In order to ensure the most enjoyable experience for everyone, cell
phones should be silenced when entering the property. Verbal
communication via cell phones is limited to the following designated
areas: Parking Lot, Paddle Courts, Locker Rooms, Covered North Porch
and the Lake. Texting is permitted with discretion. At no time should
this interfere with socializing, pace of play or service being provided by
the staff.
All contestants must be 18 years old.
Golf carts are required for the event. Cart fees are included in your entry
with the exception of the practice round.
On Saturday, there will be a Cocktail Party starting with cocktails at
6:30pm and specialty food stations, heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts.
We invite spouses to join in on the fun. Please fill out the return form
indicating whether you will be bringing a guest to the Cocktail Party.
The entry fee is $360 per person and includes carts for 3 days, a BBQ on
Friday night, continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, lunch Friday,
Saturday and Sunday, an awards ceremony on Sunday night for players
and their guests, refreshments on the golf course for all three days, and
use of all facilities throughout the weekend for you and your guest. The
entry fee must be mailed with your entry card in order to reserve a place
in the tournament. All participants must fill out all information including
a valid credit card number in order to have their team entry reserved.
