The Association of Private Unaided Medical & Dental Colleges of J&K comprising of
member institutions Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences & Hospital,
Sidhra, Jammu and Institute of Dental Sciences, Sehora, Kunjwani Road Jammu,
mandated to conduct a single window counselling for these institutions for purposes to fill
up (50 seats MBBS) 40 seats for open merit & 10 seats NRI and 50 BDS seats for open
merit, based on the results of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2016,
Phase-I and II. The admission notification of 10 NRI seats for BDS course shall be
issued separately. In light of the directions and orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in
W.P. No. 261/2016 dated 28-04-2016 and 09-05-2016, admissions to Medical and Dental UG
Courses shall be completed before 30th September 2016.

PURSUANT TO NEET RESULTS DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
The Association of Private Unaided Medical & Dental Colleges of J&K comprising of member
institutions Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Sidhra, Jammu and
Institute of Dental Sciences, Sehora, Kunjwani Road Jammu, mandated to conduct a single window
counselling for these institutions for purposes to fill up (50 seats MBBS) 40 seats for open merit & 10
seats NRI and 50 BDS seats for open merit, based on the results of National Eligibility Cum Entrance
Test 2016, Phase-I and II. The admission notification of 10 NRI seats for BDS course shall be issued
separately. In light of the directions and orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in W.P. No. 261/2016 dated

APUMDC invites applications from the eligible candidates to participate in seat selection process
for admission to MBBS/BDS seats in its member Institutions during 2016-17. The eligibility criteria is as
laid down by CBSE, New Delhi (NEET-2016).
SEAT MATRIX : (100 SEATS) IN MBBS COURSE
The breakup of the seats is as under:BOPEE – 50
40 seats, Payment category selected by J&K BOPEE
10 seats, for the Economically Weaker Sections selected by J&K BOPEE
The list of eligible candidates in order of merit would be forwarded to the College by J&K
BOPEE after the counseling.

CATEGORY FOR MBBS UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA:
Category-I:All candidates, from any community i.e. Hindu & non Hindu of J&K State or from outside the
State are eligible for selection in order of merit.
Category-II:All candidates, belonging to Hindu Minority Community of J&K State only, are eligible for
selection in order of merit.
The upward movement of the candidates from Category-2nd to Category-1st shall be subject to
the availability of vacancies in the Category-1st. However, in case of any candidate belonging to
the Non-Hindu Community or a candidate from outside the J&K State falling within the
parameter of merit (and who did not find place in the Category-1st initially) only an available
vacant seat in Category-1st (becoming available subsequently) can be allotted to him/her strictly
in the order of merit.
NRI Category:
The candidates who apply under this category, should have also qualified the test conducted by the
NEET and their merit shall be determined separately.
The preference wise criteria for admission to MBBS/BDS under NRI Category shall be as follows:

BAN ON RAGGING:Ragging in the Educational Institutions has been banned by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
However, copy of the guidelines, framed by the Medical and Dental Council of India, to curb the menace
of ragging in Medical/Dental Council, shall be provided to the candidates, before the commencement of
the Academic session. The students are directed not to indulge in ragging as it is a culpable offence.
