SQL 2000 INSTALLATION
BEGINNING OF SQL SERVER 2000 INSTALLATION:
The installation process should take approximately 25 minutes

Insert the SQL Server 2000 installation CD into the CD-ROM
Double click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and select your
CD-Rom Drive
Select the Enterprise Directory (ENT directory)
Select Autorun
Choose the option to install SQL 2000 Components
Choose the option ‘Install Database Server’
The following screen will be the Welcome Screen; Click next to continue
In the space provided, enter the name of the computer on which you
want to create a new instance of SQL Server. Choose ‘Local Computer’
and then choose next to continue
The next screen will be your Installation Options Screen. Here you can
choose whether you want to create a new instance of SQL Server, or
install Client Tools; or you can choose to install the Advanced Options
Select the option to ‘Create a New Instance of SQL Server’ and to install
the ‘Client Tools’ with that
Select Next to Continue
In the space provided type your name and your Company’s name.
 Name: EzBookUS
 Company: Korbitec
At the License Agreement Screen, select option Yes to continue
Select the Installation Type – Select Server & Client Tools and then click
next to continue
Leave the Default option checked, for a default installation and then
click next to continue
At the following screen you can select the type of setup that you wish to
use: Select Typical Setup – Common Options
Keep the default directory for the program files be installed
 Program - D:\Program Files\MSSQLSERVER
 Data – E:\SQL
Click Next to continue
At the Services Accounts Options, select ‘Use the same account for
Service. Auto start SQL Server Service’ Service Settings: Select Use a
Domain User Account.
 Username: EzBookUS
 Password: E$B00K (Using Zero’s instead of the letter O)
 Domain: EzBookUS

Click Next to continue
At the following screen you need to choose an Authentication Mode.
Select SQL Server Authentication Mode and enter a password in the
Space provided for it
Enter the Password – E$B00K (Using Zero’s instead of the letter O) and
click Next to continue
Select a License Mode Option
 Select the option ‘Processor License’– type in 1
Wait for a few minutes while setup installs the necessary components
Wait while setup configures your Server
When Setup has finished copying files to your computer, select the option Yes
to restart your computer
