The OXYSWING ® Twin-Tower PSA Oxygen Generators
extract the available oxygen in the ambient air
from the other gases through the Pressure Swing
A d s o r p t i o n ( P SA ) p r o c e s s . D u r i n g t h e P SA p r o c e s s
compressed, cleaned ambient air is led to a molecular
sieve bed, which allows the oxygen to pass through
as a product gas, but adsorbs other gases. The sieve
releases the adsorbed gases to the atmosphere,
when the outlet valve is closed and the bed pressure
returns to ambient pressure. Subsequently the bed
w i l l b e p urg ed w i t h oxyg en b e f ore f res h c om p re sse d
air will enter for a new production cycle. In order
t o g u a ra n t e e a c o n s t a n t p r o d u c t f l o w, I G S ’ o x y g e n
g e n e ra t o r s u s e t w o m o l e c u l a r s i e v e b e d s , w h i c h
al t er nat i vel y s w i t c h be t w ee n t h e ad s o rpt i o n an d t h e

to the utmost, the OXYSWING® Twin-Tower PSA
Oxygen Generators maintain a high degree of
simplicity to insure greater robustness. For example,

the molecular sieve bed, whilst keeping gas velocities
