EXPECTANCY THEORY
A “process theory” about work motivation that focuses on how workers make
choices among alternative behaviors and among different levels of effort.
Are the rewards of value to me?
Do I have the ability or capabilities to do the job?
Will my effort lead to the achievement of a specific goal?
PROCEDURAL JUSTICE THEORY
What is fair?
The main issue is attribution- how do you explain the fact that you
got more or less rewards than other employees.
Two factors are important in determining worker’s perceptions of
fairness:
1.
The interpersonal treatment of workers.
2.
The extent to which managers explain their decisions
(regarding most issues) to their employees.

What do you think would change?
PERCEPTION: WHAT DO YOU SEE?
PERCEPTION: WHY DO WE SEE DIFFERENT
