LTE Interference of user equipment?
This question is not a simple one!

The LTE UE..


..is completely controlled by the base station and
..will be reconfigured up to 1000 time/s
 This is the real life scenario.
In the lab test this can’t be simple reproduced
 Misinterpretations are highly possible.

Lab test versus reality
A modification of a single parameter varies
the interference potential at 863 MHz by >10 dB

To see in the LTE cell environment:
LTE UE interference power
in the UHF duplex gap 822 to 832 MHz
RBW = 10MHz
RBW = 300kHz
All signals reduced by approx. 23 dB due to measuring arrangements used

Proposal
1.
It is proposed to consider the results of the measurement
campaign in the ongoing SE24_WI41 and WI42 studies.
2.
We invite SE24 to seek guidance from WGSE in this matter.
We highly believe that the measurement results need to be
investigated in more detail as the out-of-band emissions of
LTE UE can disrupt systems and application in adjacent
channels seriously.
