variegation in Sungold, but what you do notice is
the golden coloured foliage. Sungold is proving
to be a very drought and cold tolerant plant.
It now gives a golden choice for colour contrast
on large no irrigation projects on the east coast,
and a low irrigation plant for the West Coast of
Australia.
In summer it does go slightly more green, which
is a good thing, as this allows it to easily survive
the hot months.

Sunrise
‘Cordyline Australis’
Vivid pink foliage with form and toughness
Need a stand out plant for a landscape? Sunrise
is it. The colours speak for themselves.
The form and toughness of this plant make it the
perfect choice. It is far more heat tolerant than
other pink types available, and it takes a lot of
years to develop a trunk of any size. Its foliage
keeps clean colour even in colder temperatures.
As a patio pot plant, Sunrise really shines. It
looks great, but best of all, unlike other vivid
pinks it keeps looking great.
If after many years you are happy for this plant
to form a small tree, let it go, but if you want it
kept low, cut it back 15cm above ground in
Autumn or Spring and it will re-shoot well.
Sunrise performs well when cut back.
