Takeaways/To Do’s from the 8/6 meeting:


BDs were asked to share their mutual fund partners to determine involvement at the
appropriate time. DTCC to engage mutual fund counterparts of project kickoff and
scope.
o If you haven’t had a chance to forward your list of mutual fund partners,
please do so. I&RS has a follow up meeting scheduled the week of 8/25
with the WMS group.
Complete the RP Pilot Group contact list for your firm. They will then be compiled and
sent out to the full group.
o Contact list is attached.
Review Positions for Retirement Plans (PRP) File:

Began review on the new PRP file to verify and validate the data points (mandatory
versus optional or conditional) by product type (PEN & RET).
o Completed review of Plan record (93/01) and Plan Details Valuation (93/02)
record.
 Plan Record (93/01)
 Moved CUSIP Number (item #8004) to 93/02
 Modified Start/End byte locations and added the 9 bytes to the
filler resulting in 16 bytes of filler (272-287)
 Plan Details Valuation (93/02) Record
 Modified Start/End byte locations and added CUSIP Number (9) to
the record.
 Changed the Filler for each “grouping” of Plan Value to 10 bytes
for future use.
Takeaways/To Do’s:

Carriers to confirm that 150 bytes for Plan Name (item# 8005) is enough to cover all
existing plan names.
Firms to verify Plan 3-digit identifier (item #8007) should be changed from optional to
mandatory. (See attached 5500 Schedule and definition of the identifier)
