Qmax. tion Temperature conversion (option) Temperature conversion may be performed, for read out of base volume or energy. A unique temperature measurement system ensures a precise measurement of temperature inside the measuring unit, independent of the inlet gas temperature and the ambient temperature. Correct measurement of gas temperature improves the accuracy with up to 3%. Alarm log Uniflo G4S electronic index has an auto diagnostic system, monitoring the conditions of the meter: • Remaining life of battery (live calculation) • Gas temperature, low and high limit* • Temperature sensor error* • High and high-high flow limit • Gray-Code detection error • Daily max. consumption error • Self check error (hardware and software) • Tamper detection (mechanical, magnetic) 30 latest errors will be recorded, along with time stamp. *) Only for meter with temperature conversion 2 Tamper proof Mechanical tampering of the index is not possible, as moving parts in the index are reduced to a minimum. Removal of front cover will activate tamper alarm. The detection system is not sensitive for normal magnetic fields. In case of extremely powerful magnets, a magnetic tamper alarm will be activated. Communication is secured by encryption (AES compatible), with individual encryption keys, and by detection of invalid communication format, activating alarm. Reverse gas flow will be stopped by mechanical lock in measuring unit, and reverse rotation will be detected by the “Gray-Code” and immediately activate an alarm. Also exceeding max. flow limit, or max. daily consumption limit will activate alarm. Alarms will be stored in the memory, with time stamp, to be transferred at the next meter reading, or immediately, when radio is used. Alarms can be reset remotely. Integrated valve (option) The meter may be supplied with built-in valve, offering remotely closing of the gas-flow, after receiving the signal at the meter reading. Because opening of gas-valve might have important safety impact (e.g. an opened unsecured gas-cooker), Flonidan has developed, both in hardware and software, a dedicated procedure. After the communication unit has given the signal “open valve”, customer has to push a button on the index to open the valve again. If the meter after opening detects, within a given time frame, a too high gas consumption, the valve will automatically close again. Customer should first shut off gas consuming devices, before pushing the button again. The time frame and max. gas consumption can be configured on customer specifications (See diagram). Command for safe opening without customer intervention is also available (See diagram).
