Micrography is the incorporation of art and text. The text is usually associated with the art

writing in very small characters- think of drawing microscopic objects or drawing things that are so

PROCEDURE!
Step One: Bring in a photograph of your face or take on with the class IPAD. The photograph needs
to be as big as our blank pieces of paper. ( We can enlarge with the photocopier if necessary)
1. Trace all major outlines of the face on to tracing paper ( use window or overhead). Include neck,
shoulders, eye brows, hair lines. Don’t make the nose a ‘triangle’ and don’t’ do individual teeth.
Step Two: Copy the contoured lines on to a good copy paper by shading the back and tracing over
your lines.
Step Three: Fill in with words! The actual lines (ex. neck, chin) are just written on with words. You
may start to notice the smaller the letters and the less space between, the more "filled in" the image
appears. This part is all done with pencil.
Step Four: Next step is to extra fine point sharpie over the words.
