Eligibility
The exhibition is open to all abstract artists
over the age of 18 residing in the U.S. with
work done in all media.
Judge: Susan Holt
Susan Holt is a multi-media artist, art educator,
and the UMES galleries director. She received
her BFA in painting from University of
Michigan, Ann Arbor, and her MFA in visual
arts from Vermont College of Fine arts. Susan
creates interactive art installations that
challenge the viewer to examine their
relationship with objects and experiences from
everyday life.
Show Acceptance & Installation
Only original abstract, mixed media or
assemblage fine art work completed within the
last four years and not previously shown at an
AI&G exhibition. Copies and reproductions
will not be accepted. All 2D work must be
ready for hanging with suitable wire or other
wall mounting – no double saw hangers.
Entries requiring unusual installation require
prior approval with AI&G. To ensure proper
installation of non-traditional works, AI&G
may require the assistance of the artist. AI&G
retains the final decision regarding works to be
exhibited.
Specifications & Reserves
Work must not exceed 100 lbs. 2D work must
not exceed 60x60 inches including frame. 3D
work must not exceed 30” in two of its
dimensions and 5’ in the third dimension. The
AI&G reserves the right to photograph and
reproduce images for publicity purposes. All
accepted work must remain in the exhibition
for its duration.

Delivery/Return of Accepted Work
Artists are responsible for shipping or delivery
of work to and from exhibition by the
designated dates and times.
Artists may hand deliver works to AI&G.
All shipping must be pre-paid.
Deadlines & Calendar
Work Due at AI&G:

Pick Up: July 18th 9- Noon
AI&G is not responsible for artwork
remaining after pick-up dates. Work left
over 30 days may be sold. Lack of appropriate
storage space at AI&G may result in damage.
Work will not be released before the exhibition
closes.
Liability
AI&G will take every precaution against
damage/theft, etc. of artwork, but will not be
responsible for damage/loss whatever the
cause.
Sales





AI&G retains a 30% commission on works sold.
At least one entry must be available for sale.

Identification and Labeling of Entries
To ensure proper identification, artist will need
two 3 x 5 inch (or 4 x 6) cards for each piece
of artwork. Place the following information on
both cards: artist’s name, phone number, title
of artwork, medium, and price (or NFS).
Loosely tape one card onto the front of each
artwork and secure the other card onto the back
of each artwork.
