March 2011 In this issue: Newsletter Supplement From Your Editor Hello and welcome to this special "cut out and keep" supplement edition of The Barton Players Newsletter. I think a supplement is in order and a little self appreciation not uncalled for, given the reception all Barton Players entries received in the Bedfordshire One Act Drama Festival at Haynes. Fate’s Thread was judged overall winner and deservedly goes through to the semi-finals at Maidenhead on May 7th/8th. Congratulations to them and all the Barton Players casts and directors that took part. All three plays were well appreciated and enjoyed by audience and the Adjudicator and we won some awards! Other members of Barton Players also won awards appearing in Upstage productions. Congratulations to Rachael Bowie Director of Stop the Clocks for Audience Appreciation and Best Dramatic Moment. Also, fresh from her success in Earnest, Mimi Greenfield-Ginger scooped the Best Youth Actress award for her part in Urban Hymns! All in all a very satisfactory few days and the adjudicator’s comments proved an excellent Master Class for all.
