RE: 2014-2015 Bell Times
Next year our student school hours will be changing. We are moving from an 8:35 to an 8:45 start time
and from a 3:20 to a 3:30 dismissal. Early dismissal on Wednesdays will be 2:00. This change is to
improve transportation efficiency district-wide and will be implemented at multiple elementary schools
across the district. I look forward to this change as it will help our buses arrive closer to start time in the
mornings, causing students to be in the building before instruction starts.
Specific things to know about arrival time next year:
 Doors will remain locked until 8:20. There will be NO adult supervision for students who arrive
before 8:20. Please have supervision plans for your students prior to 8:20. Metro Kids is an
onsite option for before and after school supervision.
 We will be providing the Breakfast In The Classroom program starting at 8:20 daily. There will
be more information about this program in the 2014-2015 information letter.
