062. ДАЙТЕ ОТВЕТ НА ВОПРОС "WHAT FUNCTIONS DO CELLS PERFORM?"
Cells are very small indeed - a typical cell is only about 0.1 mm in diameter. Cells have a
variety of forms and functions. They create and maintain all anatomical structures and perform
all vital physiological functions. The human body contains trillions of cells, and all our activities
- from running to thinking - result from the combined and coordinated responses of millions or
even billions of cells. Yet each cell functions as an individual entity. Today, the study of cellular
structure and function, or cytology, is a part of the broader discipline of cell biology,
incorporating aspects of biology, chemistry, and physics. The human body contains two general
classes of cells: sex cells and somatic cells. Sex cells are also called germ cells or reproductive
cells. Somatic cells (soma, body) include all the other cells in the human body.
,
1) Cells perform a structural function.
2) Cells are needed for reproduction.
3) Cells perform all vital physiological functions in the human body.
063. ДАЙТЕ ОТВЕТ НА ВОПРОС "WHERE DOES THE ELECTRICAL IMPULSE, WHICH
CAUSES MI, START? "
Myocardial contraction results from a change in voltage across the cell membrane
(depolarisation), which leads to an action potential. Although contraction may happen
spontaneously, it is normally in response to an electrical impulse. This impulse starts in the
sinoatrial (SA) node, a collection of pacemaker cells located at the junction of the right atrium
and superior vena cava. These specialised cells depolarise spontaneously, and cause a wave of
contraction to pass across the atria. Following atrial contraction, the impulse is delayed at the
atrioventricular (AV) node, located in the septal wall of the right atrium. From here His-Purkinje
fibres allow rapid conduction of the electrical impulse via right and left branches, causing almost
simultaneous depolarisation of both ventricles, approximately 0.2 seconds after the initial
impulse has arisen in the sinoatrial node. Depolarisation of the myocardial cell membrane causes
a large increase in the concentration of calcium within the cell, which in turn causes contraction
by a temporary binding between two proteins, actin and myosin. The cardiac action potential is
much longer than that of skeletal muscle, and during this time the myocardial cell is
unresponsive to further excitation.
1) It starts in the semilunar valve.
2) This impulse starts in the sinoatrial node.
3) It starts in the atrioventricular valve.
064. ДАЙТЕ ОТВЕТ НА ВОПРОС “WHAT DOES DEPOLARISATION AT THE
SINOATRIAL NODE CAUSE”?
There is a similar cycle on both sides of the heart, but the pressures in the right ventricle and
pulmonary arteries are less than those in the left ventricle and aorta. Systole refers to contraction,
while diastole refers to relaxation. Both contraction and relaxation can be isometric, when
changes in intraventricular pressure occur without a change in length of the muscle fibres. The
cycle starts with depolarisation at the sinoatrial node leading to atrial contraction. Until this time
blood flow into the ventricles has been passive, but the atrial contraction increases filling by 2030%. Ventricular systole causes closure of the atrioventricular valves (1st heart sound), and
contraction is isometric until intraventricular pressures are sufficient to open the pulmonary and
aortic valves, when the ejection phase begins. The volume of blood ejected is known as the
stroke volume. At the end of this phase ventricular relaxation occurs, and the pulmonary and
aortic valves close (2nd heart sound). After isometric relaxation ventricular pressures fall to less
than atrial pressures. This leads to opening of the atrioventricular valves and the start of
ventricular diastolic filling. The whole cycle then repeats following another impulse from the
sinoatrial node.
1) It causes ventricular relaxation.
2) It results in atrial contraction.
3) It leads to the opening of the atrioventricular valves and the start of ventricular diastolic
filling.
065. ДАЙТЕ ОТВЕТ НА ВОПРОС “WHAT HELPS TO CONDUCT NERVE IMPULSES”?
The human nervous system consists of billions of nerve cells (or neurons) plus supporting
(neuroglial) cells. Neurons are able to respond to stimuli (such as touch, sound, light, and so on),
conduct impulses, and communicate with each other (and with other types of cells like muscle
cells). The nucleus of a neuron is located in the cell body. Extending out from the cell body are
processes called dendrites and axons. These processes vary in number & relative length but
always serve to conduct impulses (with dendrites conducting impulses toward the cell body and
,
axons conducting impulses away from the cell body). Neurons can respond to stimuli and
conduct impulses because a membrane potential is established across the cell membrane. In other
words, there is an unequal distribution of ions (charged atoms) on the two sides of a nerve cell
membrane.
1) It is the nucleus of the neuron.
2) Dendrites and axons help to conduct impulses to the cell body.
3) Neuroglial cells conduct impulses to the cell body.
