Barry Burman 2017 Rules 1 In the event of a tie in points between two teams during round robin play, the final standings shall be determined as follows, based on MR7.08: The team that won the greater number of points in games played, during the competition, between the teams tied shall be declared the winner of the higher position.(HEAD TO HEAD) If a tie still exists, the Goal Average Formula will be used to break the tie. All goals scored in all games during the competition shall be used in the goal average computation. GF = GOAL AVERAGE GF + GA The team with goal average closest to 1.0 shall be declared the winner If a tie still exists, the team with least penalties in minutes in all Round Robin games played shall be declared the winner. All Medal Round games for Novice, Peewee, Bantam and Midget 15-15-15 with the last 5mins. stop time. 2 minute breaks between periods. 4 In Round Robin games, if teams are tied at the end of regulation time, the game will be recorded as a tie. 5 In Medal Round games, if teams are tied at the end of regulation time, there will be a three (3) minute rest, change of ends, followed by ten (10) minute periods of stop time, with victory being declared upon the scoring of the first goal (sudden victory). 6 All players receiving a fighting major are ejected for the balance of the tournament. 7 No timeouts in the Round Robin games, One 60 sec timeout per team in Medal Round games.
