Activity: Yr 4 real PE support Day: Tuesday Date: 22/09/15, 29/09/15 and 13/10/15 Time: 2-3pm Teacher: Robbie Stakelum SSCo: Kerrie Mullen Support completed by Kerrie Mullen. The class teacher felt that their ability to deliver PE lessons improved by 27%. The teacher noted significant further improvement in providing a spectrum of outcomes/objectives to personalise the goals for learners and providing pupils with opportunities to take responsibility for their learning and change themselves and others. The teacher is now more confident in delivering the real PE schemes of work to his class. Children felt their confidence, selfesteem and attitude to learning in PE improved by 1.7%. The children reported the lessons to be ‘fun’, ‘good’ and ‘challenging’. One child commented, ‘It’s harder than my usual PE lesson’. Activity: Yr 5 real PE support Day: Tuesday Date: 03/11/15 – 15/12/16 Time: 9-10am Teacher: TBC SSCo: Kerrie Mullen Support completed by Kerrie Mullen. The class teacher felt that their ability to deliver PE lessons improved by 33%. The teacher noted significant further improvement in providing a spectrum of outcomes/objectives to personalise the goals for learners and developing a clear, shared learning journey with progressive challenges embraced by the learners. The teacher is now more confident in delivering the real PE schemes of work to her class. Children felt their confidence, self-esteem and attitude to learning in PE improved by 3.3%. One child commented, ‘PE is really fun because we get to do fun things and sometimes it’s hard’. The class teacher felt that their ability to deliver PE lessons improved by 43%. The teacher now enables learners to take responsibility to challenge themselves and each other and now is able to provide more collaborative opportunities for pupils to share and learn from each other.
