OPTIONS FOR MFAA MEMBERS
As an MFAA member you have access to a suite of up to twenty-four MFAA branded finance
calculator tools to embed onto your website.
Before you look at embedding the MFAA loan calculator suites into your website (either by your
developers or by yourself), there’s a few things you will need to consider.
The new desktop and mobile responsive calculator suite has five colour options to suit your branding.
It is worth considering which colour scheme best suits your branding with your web developer and/or
marketing team.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Do I have to have all 24 calculators on my site?
A: No. It's completely up to you. Each calculator has a different code for you to embed. We
recommend to pick the most relevant calculators to your client’s needs and your service offerings, so
as to keep them on your website for a longer period of time. We also recommend you ask your
developers to include a call to action button or text near the calculator to tell customers to contact you
for more information/help via email or mobile etc.
Q: What is the benefit of the calculators?
A: Mortgage calculators are in the top 5 most searched mortgage related terms. Furthermore, having
your own set of calculators housed on your site means you can keep traffic there instead of losing
potential customers to an external site.
Q: What format do the calculators come in and will it work on my Content Management
System (CMS)?
A: The calculators are a simple iframe code which your web developer can embed onto any page of
your website. We are yet to come across a CMS where they do not work. The calculators are
compatible with most website CMS back-ends such as Wordpress, WIX – as long as you or your
developers have access to the HTML source code back end of your website you can simply input the
iframe codes for each calculator into it.
Q: Can I have my company logo instead of the MFAA logo on them?
A: No. That's why they are so heavily discounted. If you would like your own branding on your
calculators instead, please email [email protected] and we can connect you with our
loan developers to help you look at a bespoke branding option with tailored pricing.

THE FULL GUIDE ON EMBEDDING THE DESKTOP AND MOBILE
RESPONSIVE LOAN CALCULATOR SUITE
Step 1: Creating an index page
Create an index page, on your website, to allow for multiple calculators to be embedded. The
recommendation is that one page should embed only one calculator.
For example, an index page will follow a similar format:

It isn’t best practice to embed all calculators on one page and to use javascript to show one calculator
and hide others such as using Tab or Accordion components. Otherwise, this would be a breach of
the first clause of the signed Letter of Agreement.
The online calculator is the property of the MFAA, and cannot be altered in any way,
including adding, removing, or changing the brand logo

Add the following CSS code to each calculator webpage. All calculator webpages should share the

Step 3: Embedding the individual loan calculator iframe codes
Insert the appropriate iframe code (for the two tone suite you selected) into the individual calculator
webpages. As recommended, one calculator has their own iframce code. It is not recommended to
have multiple iframes codes into one page.
In the case your website uses HTTPs secure rather than common HTTPs, then change the following:
“http” to “https” in the following iframe’s source code, after “src=”.
The five colour options have their own iframe codes, refer to each link as per the colour suite you’ve
chosen for your website.






Here’s a few tips to help you test the compatibility of your loan calculator suite to your website.

Change the size of your internet browser. If there a scroll bar appears, it means your web
