Agenda for Employer Events

New futures – ETE mentoring project
This is a new project based within the Future 4 Me team in 1625 Independent People,
offering flexible and voluntary 1:1 support for young people age 16-17 involved with youth
offending teams who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). We are
currently looking to expand the offer - i.e. to support those in education to look for work.
We can provide transitions support post-18, including support through transition from
YOT to Probation services. However we must register young people for support on the new
futures monitoring system before they reach their 18th birthday so we encourage early referrals.
The project offers focussed mentoring to work with individuals to explore, access and
sustain education, employment and training opportunities. The level and length of support
can vary depending on individual needs.
Additional funds can be accessed to support young people’s individual ETE aspirations.
