After a very long day of competition, Harrison had 19 State gold medal winners out of the 30 students that competed. The District event includes 900 students from Oakland and Livingston counties. “I was thrilled each one of our students who took the stage received overall winner status with a state medal, said Nina Merget, Marketing Teacher and Co-op Coordinator at Harrison. “This was a tremendous feat!” The Harrison DECA students will go on to compete at the State level, March 13-15 in Grand Rapids Michigan. Students will be up against more than 3,300 marketing students in the state. The event will take place at the DeVos Place Convention Center.
