Training Training based on a National framework which includes : Care Wyvern policies & procedures Introduction to the Care Certificate Standards ( CCS) Assistance with medication Food hygiene, Nutrition and Hydration Basic First Aid Moving & handling Safeguarding and more... We have a supportive team of Supervisors and key workers on hand as well as the office team to advise and support you. We operate an out of hour’s service when the office is closed. DBS (Disclosure & Barring Scheme) Care Wyvern funds the DBS fee of £55.00 but it is retrieved from your last pay packet should you leave within six months of your commencement date. DBS checks are processed online and are normally completed within a week, dependent on circumstances. Wages – We pay above the national Living wage every 4 weeks. Paid contact and travel time. Mileage- paid 31p a mile for car drivers. Mileage paid on all calls up to your first and before your last call. All mileage is calculated for you. 28 days paid holiday (includes Bank Hols),You would be expected to work your normal working day even if it falls on a Bank Holiday, for example Christmas Day, Good Friday, etc Company paid mobile phone – unlimited calls to landlines and texts to any mobile. Unlimited calls to other Care Wyvern mobiles. Company Subsidised Health Scheme – Simply Health Equipment & Uniform Responsibility and Availability Carers must obtain Business insurance on their insurance and show proof. Various contracts are available. Flexible work requests are only available after 26 weeks of continuous employment and only one request per year is permitted. Any changes requested would be discussed and agreed upon to fit with the needs of the business. We communicate to our carers via e-memos, email, company-funded mobile phones and with regular in office meetings and Supervisors meetings in the field.
