Author/Publisher Harald W.
Tietze has so far written over
30 health-related books. He
has lectured in all continents,
visiting 58 countries, and his
work has been translated into
more than 30 languages.
Harald's books, such as his
Kombucha and Kefir book,
demonstrate how simple it is to make your
own probiotics at home.
Jenny Brown
Jenny is interested in how a
staple food like bread was
made in the days before
commercialisation and the
discovery of yeast. She found
the sourdough starter culture,
and with it the benefits to
health without preservatives
and sugar, plus low GI and lower gluten
content.
Ralph Wilson
Ralph and Judy Wilson are
proud owners of Wilgro
Orchards just outside
Batlow, where they grow a
variety of deciduous fruits
including apples, cherries
and berries. From their farm
gate stall they market a wide
range of value-added fruit
products including apple cider vinegar, fruit
vinegars and, their latest venture, traditional
hand-crafted apple cider.
Berlinda Rand
Berlinda is German, and
sauerkraut has been a
favourite in her household
for as long as she can
remember. She grew up
knowing it was good for
you, and thinks it’s
wonderful that fermented
foods like sauerkraut are surging in popularity
because we now know that they boost
digestive health, increasing the good bacteria
in the digestive system, with amazing results.
Berlinda is keen to encourage a love of
sauerkraut by explaining the benefits of this
rich, probiotic treasure!
MC: Kirsty Roche
