Throughout the analysed period the overall cargo handling in the Baltic Eastern Ports made 243 160,1
thousand tons, the change is +7,7 percent, or +17 477,7 thousand tons. 6 726,8 thousand tons of oil
products were handled in Būtingės Terminal throughout the analysed period ( further in the report cargo
handling in Būtinges Terminal has not been analysed).

In PRIMORSK PORT totally 56 188,6 thousand tons of oil and oil products, i.e. less by 2,7 percent or
by 1 540,9 thousand tons than in January-September of 2010 were transhiped. Primorsk Port handles
exclusively oil and oil products. Throughout the analysed period 51 992,2 thousand tons of crude oil and
4 196,4 thousand tons of oil products were transhipped in the Port.
In SAINT PETERSBURG PORT totally 44 949,9 thousand tons of cargo were handled, the change
makes +5,4 percent or more by +2 283,2 thousand tons than during the analysed period of 2010.
Volumes of general cargo made 27 377,1 thousand tons, the change is +15,8 percent or

Totally 25 173,5 thousand tons of cargo were handled in RIGA PORT, the change is +12,8 percent, or
+2 851,0 thousand tons. Throughout the analysed period of 2011 coal handling constituted the largest part
of the overall handling volumes in this Port – 9 821,7 thousand tons or 39,0 percent. During the analysed
period of 2010 year the neighbouring port handled 8 517,7 thousand tons of coal and it constituted 38,2
percent from the overall cargo handling of the port.
General cargo handling volumes were 4 857,7 thousand tons, the change is -1,3 percent, or 62,2
