Panel #1: National Workforce Data—some suggested questions for discussion
What did we learn and what more do we need to know? How does national data compare to what we
know about our state’s workforce? What is surprising and is there anything that doesn’t “ring true” for
our state? What do we want to continue to monitor? What is the data saying about new directions for
PD systems and workforce policies? Who else in our state should have this information?
Peer-to-Peer Session A Small Groups—some suggested questions for discussion
What did we learn and are there states we want to connect with to get more information? What good
ideas did we get from other states that we might want to pursue? Were there emerging trends or
challenges that we should explore? What are the implications of the small group discussions for our
state PD system? Are there others in our state that might benefit from this information?
Potential next steps in response to what we’ve learned this morning

Panel #2: Financing PD Systems—some questions for discussion
Are there new financing opportunities that we should explore? How might these new funding
opportunities be a catalyst for change in our PD system? What are we already involved in/using and
what are the implications for our PD system? Is there more we need to know about these
opportunities?
Peer-to-Peer Session B Small Groups—some questions for discussion
What did we learn and are there states we want to connect with to get more information? What good
ideas did we get from other states that we might want to pursue? Were there emerging trends or
challenges that we should explore? What are the implications of the small group discussions for our
state PD system? Are there others in our state that might benefit from this information?
Stepping back and thinking about the day, are there things we need to do more of, less of or add into
our system? Are we headed in the right direction or do we need a course correction?
Potential next steps in response to what we’ve learned today
