Kari Murph Watson - Greater Dayton
Kari's accomplishments in the sport of bowling prove that she certainty has achieved superior performance.
During the 1998-99 season, she had the high average in the state which was 226.
Her highest series rolled was a 796 and she has rolled over 150 career 700 or better series. She has rolled nine
300 games, 1989, 94, 96 and 3 in 2000, and three during the year 2005.
Since the 1992-93 season through the 2005-06 season she has averaged 200 plus in every league that she has
bowled in.
In 1993 she was the WIBC Open Division Singles Champion and finished in 3rd place in the WIBC Open Division
Doubles. She placed 4th in the WIBC Open Division Doubles in 2001 and 8th in 2003
Kari won the LPBT Regional Title in Long Island, NY in 1994 and a member of Sam's Town LPBT Team
Tournament Champion. During 1993 she finished first in the Hoinke Classic Ladies Scratch Division, and again in
2003. In the 1993 Super Hoinke she was the high female finisher being in the top 16 of the tournament. In
2003 she was a member of the Ladies High Team Scratch Series and High Scratch Game of the Hoinke Classic.
In 2004 she was the Louisville Fillies All Events Scratch Champion. In 2005 she was the All Events Scratch
Champion in the Evansville Ladies Tournament and placed 3rd in the Doubles Scratch.
Kari was the recipient of the Alberta E. Crowe Star of Tomorrow Award in 1992.
She was a member of the first place National Collegiate Team Champion, 2nd Team All American in 1989-90,
First Team All American 1990-91 and First Team Academic All American in 1991-92.
On January 20, 2005 she won first place for WIBC Women's 3 game series, highest consecutive league series on
same days with 1575 total. Her series were 780 and 795. She has won the WIBC award for mixed 2 women, 1
man team game in 1999, 3rd in 2000, placed 3rd in women's four player team series in 2004 and 5th in mixed 2
women, 1 man team series in 1998.
In the Dayton WBA local Championship tournament she has been a member of the Team Actual winners, in
1993,94,96,97,98,99,2003 and 2004. She and her partner won the Doubles Actual in 2002.
In her local association mixed tournament she has been a member of the championship team actual in 1999,
2004 and 2005. She and her partner won the Doubles Actual in 2005.
Kari has been the Dayton WBA Bowler of the Year in 1993-94, 1999-00, and 2004-05. She has been on the All
Star Team, 1st Team, during the years 1993-94, 1994-95, 1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 1999-00, 2000-01,
2002-03, 2003-04, 2004-05 and 2005-06.
Today we add the name of Kari Murphy to the rolls of our Ohio USBC WBA Hall of Fame for SUPERIOR
PERFORMANCE.
