SCSC GUIDELINES/PROCEDURES
Effective: 04/26/2010
1.
New Teams - Prior to seeking approval from Santa Clara Youth Soccer
League (SCYSL) and registering with any league all prospect SCSC teams,
Coaches and Assistant Coaches must first be approved by the SCSC Sports
Committee and the President and/or Vice President of this organization.
Once the team or coach is approved, SCYSL is to be notified for approval.
2.
When changes in Coach, Assistant Coach or Manager occur, a “Team Staff
Information” form must be completed and submitted to the SCSC Sports
Committee for approval. SCYSL is notified of Staff changes for approval.
3.
All SCSC youth teams must work Bingo each season.
Season is from August 1st to July 31st.
In each assigned bingo day, the team must schedule 5 parents to work
(effective June 1, 2010). The shifts are as follows:
Fridays:
First Shift:
2 parent 5:00pm to 9:00pm
Second Shift: 2 parent 6:00pm to 10:00pm
Third Shift: 1 parent from 7:00pm to end (not to exceed 4 hours)
Saturdays and Sundays:
First Shift
2 parents from 11:00am to 3:00pm
Second Shift: 2 parents from 12:00pm to 4:00pm
Third Shift: 1 parent from 1:00pm to end (not to exceed 4 hours)
NOTE FOR NEW TEAMS: SC Sporting will only pay for tournaments after a
team has worked at least one bingo session.
4.
SCSC pays for three In-State Tournaments and, due to the extra expenses for
traveling out of State, SCSC will cover two Out-of-State Tournaments per
season. Out-of-State Tournaments must be approved by the SCSC Sports
Committee. Season is of August 1st to July 31st.

In order to request payment for a tournament, the Coach or Manager of the
team must complete a “Tournament Participation Request” form and submit it
to the SCSC office for review and approval. Only after approval, payment will
be issued on the following Thursday. Please allow 7 – 10 days. Santa Clara
Sporting will NOT reimburse any tournaments paid which was not submitted

to the Sports Committee for review and approval. All Tournament payments
must be made by the SCSC directly to the tournament.
6.
All teams must wear SCSC official gear which is composed of:
A.
First Uniform: Official SCSC Puma green & White hoop Jersey,
Puma black shorts and Puma black socks.
B.
Second Uniform: Official SCSC Puma black jersey, Puma black
shorts and Puma black socks.
C.
SCSC Practice T-Shirts
D.
Official SCSC Puma Warm-ups (optional)

During the month of October – All SCSC teams will be required to
wear the Pink Jersey’s for the Annual “Goals For A Cure”
fundraiser.
7.
SCSC teams are not allowed to wear any other uniform other than specified on
paragraph 6 above per our Contract with Puma. (Uniforms, Warm-ups and
Backpacks)
8.
In order to release a player from US Club, the SCSC Administrator must receive
written authorization from one of the Team Officials.
9.
Any team that has an outstanding balance with Santa Clara Sporting Club will not
have their new passes released or tournaments paid until the account is brought
current.
10. The SCSC Sports Committee shall act on all disciplinary matters and shall have
discretionary power to determine action applied to team personnel and players. If
any actions are taken, SCYSL president will be informed for approval.
11. Only SCSC is authorized to sell merchandise containing the name and or/logo of
this organization.
12.
Santa Clara Sporting Club may deny payment of tournaments if these
guidelines are not followed.
