SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN NHS WALES E-LEARNING TRAINING PROGRAMMES The Level 1 and Level 2 Safeguarding Children E-learning Training Programmes are now available to access online, including the assessments and certification of completion. The Level 1 E-learning Training Programme will take approximately thirty minutes to complete and provides a basic overview of the indicators of possible child maltreatment and the procedures to follow if staff have concerns about a child or young person’s welfare. LEVEL 2 TRAINING Target audience: All clinical staff that have contact with children, young people and/or parents/carers. The Level 2 E-learning programme will take approximately two hours to complete and provides a deeper level of knowledge and awareness of safeguarding children issues, particularly recognition and referral processes.
