Light House Nursery Consultation
This consultation seeks the views of all stakeholders on the demand, quality and value for money of the
Council’s specialist nursery service provided at the Light House. The information you provide will be used
to decide whether the Council should continue to provide this service, or whether the needs of children and
their parents are met better by other nursery service providers. For more information please click on the

Parent and toddler group
The Light House are setting up a parent and toddler group for under 5's with additional needs.
We would like to provide a relaxed and safe environment where parents and carers can meet other
parents and professionals to share knowledge and make connections and where children can have fun.
We will be based at the Light House, with access to a sensory room and sensory garden with adapted
equipment. The sessions will run on Wednesday 22 October, Wednesday 26 November and the
Wednesday 17 December.

Derby City group – meet the first Wednesday in the month at Trinity Baptist Church, Green Lane, Derby,
DE1 1RZ.
Time: 10am – 12noon

SAATH SAATH group (BME ladies) – meet the first Wednesday in the month at The Madeley Centre,
Madeley Street, Derby, DE23 8EX. Time: 1pm – 3pm.

Dec 3: Fuddle
Erewash group – meet the last Wednesday in the month at The Adult Education Centre, 173 Derby Road,
Long Eaton, NG10 4LL. Time: 10am – 12noon.
Nov 26: CAMHS

South Derbyshire group – meet the last Thursday in the month. New venue: Hilton Village Hall, Peacroft
Lane, Hilton, DE65 5GH. Time: 12.30pm – 2.30pm.

Umbrella Support Groups meet term time ONLY.
We offer a warm and friendly welcome at our support groups giving carers the opportunity to share
common issues and worries but also to have time for them in a safe and confidential environment.
